Nestled back in a quiet community in NE Portland, here is my cozy, intimate 1:1 studio salon: Filament. Filament was born in summer of 2019 when I began conceptualizing my dream of working in a single-stylist studio space into a reality in my own home. Two months after my grand opening in January of 2020 we were plunged into a global pandemic! I made a commitment to keeping my highest values of client safety, comfort and trust in the forefront of the Filament experience during that critical time. Creating brilliant, healthy hair in this cozy space has become the truest expression of my life’s work in this industry.

About Me

Hello, gorgeous! I am so glad we have found each other here. I’m Staci, and I have been serving gorgeous hair in the Portland, OR area for 25 years.

As a self-professed social introvert and mom of 2, I value and enjoy our time together in my quiet studio where we can take a break from the demands of daily life. I love to listen as much as I love to chat and I have created Filament to be a sanctuary for our senses.

Since my beginning as a spa worker in the late 90’s, it has always been my priority to bring my clients the best experience and results from their arrival to their exit. From making sure routes, directions and parking are all dialed in, to coordinating scheduling for everyone, I am committed to creating this experience for you - and the result in between is your beautiful hair reaching its full potential in my capable hands.  I am your ally in both your commitment to your timeless style and your aspiration to our ever-changing haircolor projects together. You will find that I am skilled at negotiating both dramatic style and color changes or polishing your classic look with a little nuance. I can make practical, workable suggestions based on lifestyle and other factors, and then steer the process so that you can relax. I got this!

I don’t just want to work in the industry, I want to elevate it through the intersection of the deepening of the client experience with the application of my years of learned wisdom and proficiency. I understand that our time together is not just a destination, but a journey! I love the satisfaction of reaching the “a-ha” moments that take us to our next evolution of your style.

When I am not behind the chair, I am often out in the woods somewhere hiking around and finding cool wild places. At home I love hanging out with my family and my three Boston Terriers, doing projects, folding laundry, and finding documentaries and thoughtful programming on streaming tv.
